what is swipetrip?
SwipeTrip is a dating app built for India, made for travel dating: a travel dating app where a match turns into a real date or trip, with a travel partner (buddy) mode for people who just want someone to travel with.
In dating, each card leads with the person: their photo, name and age, with the trip they'd like to take and a short line on why you'd get along. In travel buddy mode the trip leads, with who's going.
Matching uses how you travel (travel style, pace, budget, and when you're free), not just photos.
Pre-launch: the website and waitlist are open now; the app is in testing and not yet public, and opens city by city in India. The features described here are built into the app and are being tested before launch.

What is SwipeTrip?
SwipeTrip is a dating app and travel dating app for India, with a travel partner mode. You swipe on trips, not just faces: match with people who travel the way you do, make a real plan within 72 hours, and actually go.
How is SwipeTrip different from other dating apps?
Matching starts from travel (style, pace, budget and availability) instead of photos alone. Every match has 72 hours to turn into a concrete plan, so conversations lead to real trips instead of endless chat.
Is SwipeTrip safe?
Safety is built in. Every member verifies with their Aadhaar and a live selfie before anyone can see them. For declared trips you can add an emergency contact, use check-ins and SOS, and share location only for the duration of the trip.
How does ID verification work, and what happens to my ID?
You photograph your Aadhaar card and take a short live selfie, and a person reviews them. Your Aadhaar number is never stored, and the ID photos and selfie frames are deleted as soon as the review is done. With your separate consent, SwipeTrip keeps an encrypted face template and your verified photo so one person can't hold two accounts; both are deleted with your account. Your ID number is never shown to anyone.
Can I use SwipeTrip just to find a travel buddy?
Yes. Choose travel buddy mode to find someone who travels like you, without dating. Travel dating mode is for meeting someone and experiencing something together.
What does the 72-hour plan mean?
When you match, you both have 72 hours to propose a trip: dates, an activity and an estimated budget. If neither of you does, the match quietly expires. No hard feelings.
Who can join SwipeTrip?
Anyone in India aged 18 or over. You confirm your age at sign-up and it is checked against your ID during verification. Only your age is shown on your profile, never your date of birth.
When does SwipeTrip launch?
SwipeTrip is opening city by city across India. Join the waitlist to get early access when it opens near you.
